In this context, medflex GmbH (medflex GmbH, Reichenaustraße 39a, 78467 Konstanz) acts as our data processor.
medflex processes all data in strict compliance with the current data protection regulations and in doing so it uses Highest security standards .
All data processed by medflex is stored exclusively in Germany and is subject to the strict requirements of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Storage within the EU guarantees the highest data protection and security standards. medflex GmbH uses technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data at all times.
For the effective management of your inquiries and appointments, the following information that you provide is recorded in the medflex system: First and last name, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address and your request in written form via the online request management or the recording of your voice message by the telephone assistant.
Your data is collected for the purpose of request and appointment management, as was previously the case in our practice. The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (fulfillment of the treatment contract), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent for appointment reminders via SMS and e-mail) and Art. 9 para. 2 lit. h GDPR (health care purposes).
Your data will NOT be passed on by medflex to commercial providers. medflex, like your attending physician, is subject to medical confidentiality. A separate release from the duty of confidentiality is not required.
With your consent, we would like to use the medflex system to remind you of your appointments by SMS and/or e-mail in order to reduce missed appointments. If you no longer wish to receive reminders in future, please let us know and we will deactivate this function immediately.
Special features for communication
Patients do not need to create a user account to communicate with their practice via medflex. However, patients can create a user account on request.
For this, please refer to the separate privacy policy for the use of medflex.
medflex is responsible for data processing when creating a medflex user account. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and Art. 9 para. 2 lit. h GDPR (purposes of preventive healthcare).
Patient inquiry management on the website
On our website, we have integrated the option of making inquiries to our practice via medflex. By clicking on the medflex button, you will be redirected to the medflex website where you can make an online inquiry. Although we do not transmit any personal data to medflex ourselves, medflex may be able to draw conclusions from the fact that you have come from our website. No data is transferred to medflex before you click on the button. By forwarding you leave the area of our website.
Smart telephone assistant
We have set up a digital telephone assistant to expand our telephone capacity and to support our employees in dealing with your concerns. This assistant will take your calls if our practice team is not available or the line is busy.
How the telephone assistant works:
• The assistant leads a simple interactive dialog for the structured recording of your personal data and your request.
• The content of the conversation is recorded, written down and clearly presented for our team.
• This enables efficient processing of your requests, e.g. by SMS or callback, based on the information you provide.
